PROJECT TOPIC:

Within the scope of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University's Regional Development-Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Project, it aims to create activities and practices to promote the development and widespread impact of the livestock project, and to increase national and international cooperation.
 

PROJECT PURPOSE:

Our aim is to increase the promotion and widespread impact of the projects carried out by our university in the field of specialization. The project aims to prepare promotional and educational materials for farmers and business owners, to provide regular information transfer to stakeholders by participating in regional, national, and international fair organizations, and to carry out activities such as sector council meetings, various organizations, and promotional activities.
Another important work of the project is the preparation of visual materials and cooperation with the media. Within the scope of the project, promotional catalogs, brochures, posters, billboards, roll-ups, etc., as well as films, television programs, videos, and news are prepared to increase the promotion and widespread impact. Additionally, by participating in national and international fairs, it is aimed to increase the widespread impact of the project by transferring information about the project to a wider audience.
Raising awareness among producers and breeders operating in the livestock sector is among our primary goals. For this purpose, educational booklets and instructional videos are prepared, and panels, symposiums, and technical trips are planned for industrialists, business owners, and other sector stakeholders. Along with these activities, information sharing and cooperation in the sector will be encouraged, contributing to the development of the livestock sector.
 

PROJECT'S REGIONAL CONTRIBUTION:

The project will contribute to the region's economic growth by increasing production efficiency, improving the quality of animal products, preventing animal diseases, and increasing new job and employment opportunities, along with the dissemination of the projects carried out by MAKÜ to address the problems of the livestock sector.
 

PROJECT'S SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION:

With the implementation of the projects carried out by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in the field of livestock, contributions will be made to the national economy, social welfare, and scientific accumulation;
• The project will promote growth in the sector with higher productivity and sustainability, better-managed businesses, and higher quality products in the field of livestock. This will increase the export potential of animal products, positively affect the foreign trade balance, contribute to the national economy, and increase employment opportunities.
• The project aims to increase social welfare for breeders, business owners, and other stakeholders working in the sector. Increased income levels will contribute to rural development along with improved quality of life. Additionally, the production and consumption of healthier animal products will improve the general health and nutrition levels of society.
• New scientific research in the field of livestock will be encouraged, increasing the scientific accumulation of the sector. The use of innovative and next-generation technologies will allow the development of more efficient and sustainable production methods, contributing to the long-term growth of the sector.
• The project will provide opportunities for businesses, breeders, veterinarians, equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders operating in the livestock sector to work in a more efficient and competitive sector.
